Hi Axel,
Basically, you just need to figure out the cheapest dates to fly. When it comes to Vegas, avoiding Friday to Sunday is usually key to saving money. Wednesday to Saturday is often cheapest to fly, or Mon/Tue to Thursday. Hotels will also be cheaper from Sunday through Wednesday.
US Airways has the cheapest flights at the moment, at around $400 roundtrip after tax. Sep 28 to 30 for example. The cheapest non stop are around $430 on WestJet, Sep 27 to 30 for example.
The Palms or Ballys are around $50-60/night on these dates. Treasure Island is $80, and a great hotel.
Or there's always the Imperial Palace for $30/night if you don't need anything fancy but want a great location.
