I'm looking to fly to Sydney in the first week of March, one-way. I'll be there on a work holiday visa and my timing is a bit flexible.
The best non-stop deal I've found is $1220 on Air Canada, on March 6 (Sunday), on flightnetwork.com. Would prefer to go non-stop.
Any tips for finding something a bit cheaper?

Hi Buddha,
For one way, non-stop, you could be able to see flights on Air Canada for around $860 after tax. Try March 3rd.
You can do one stop flights on China Eastern for $707, but the stop is in Shanghai, adding 11 hours to the journey!

Hey!
I have another question in regards to booking a flight to Sydney. We are not going until next October for a month or so from Vancouver. Wondering if it is beneficial to book so far in advance as we haven't seen much under $1300 taxes in. Any tips on when to book for a trip like this?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Thanks a lot!

Hi Vern,
Unfortunately predicting prices is impossible, but in general I'm usually comfortable watching prices up to about 2 months before departure.
The bottom from Western Canada to Sydney is usually around $1100ish roundtrip after tax. It's rare to see anything sub-$1000.

Hey,
Just so you know, they usually make you have a return flight (or a ticket leaving Australia) already booked before they let you in on a working holiday visa. I ended up booking a ticket to New Zealand while at the airport because they wouldn't let me on my flight without it. Ended up staying in New Zealand for 3 years, so it all worked out

I am planning to travel from vancouver to sydney (Austraila) in late june returning in first week of Aug. What type of price range i should be looking for . I see $1445 on Kayak on Quantas . Is this good price or i should wait for a better deal ? What is the lowest for direct flight from AC or via LA ?
