Contest Winner

A huge thank you to everyone who entered! I wasn't overly surprised at the amount of interest, but I was absolutely shocked by how amazing your entries were.

People had all sorts of reasons for wanting to get to their dream destination. Some involved heartbreaking tales, some were for romantic gestures, many involved family and friends, a few were just plain crazy, and some were just because. But everyone, it seemed, had a good reason.

Ultimately of course there can be only one excited winner, and the rest are disappointed. But I hope this contest has inspired at least a few people to think about their dream destination in life and actively pursue it.

For the record, the most popular destinations were:

- Athens, Greece (ATH)
- Sydney, Australia (SYD)
- Bora Bora, French Polynesia (BOB) <- I swear it's because of ABC's 'The Bachelorette'.

Hawaii and Dublin, Ireland were up there too. Italy and the Maldives were also pretty popular choices.

Selecting The Winner

As always, each entry was copied into my handy spreadsheet, and your number of entries corresponded with the number of lines given to you in the spreadsheet.

Then using the true random number generator over at Random.org I simply generate a number between 1 and the number of entries.

The randomly selected number corresponds with a line on the spreadsheet, and voila, we have our winner.

And the Winner is...

Entry #3435 - Denise Nesbitt, who chose Paris, France (CDG) as her dream destination. Congrats Denise! Hopefully we can get Denise to blog about her trip and share what it meant to her.

Thanks again everyone, for all your support, it really meant a lot! I look forward to seeing what 2011 brings in terms of amazing travel deals and hopefully they inspire even more people to travel.
