Walk the Brooklyn bridge into Manhattan at sunset! And Top of the Rock is a much better view and experience than the Empire State Building.

Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Central Park, Broadway show, St. John the Divine Cathedral is really interesting and you can top it off with a stop at Amy Ruth's in Harlem for the best chicken and waffles you will ever have in your life

Walk the High Line. You can also bike across the Brooklyn Bridge with a citibike. There's a station to rent and return on either side of the bridge. If you like oysters, go to Aquagrill in Soho.

LOVE NY!!! Went in August. We did a helicopter tour, rented bikes in Central Park, saw 3 broadway shows, Gotham Comedy Club is MUST! Go on Travelzoo...I got a ton of things at discount prices with them. The Hornblower Sunday Jazz Brunch cruise was GREAT! I also got week long subway passes for $31 a person...super way to get around. Go to the 911 Trinute Centre...so amamzing! Tours are provided by survivors of 911, people who were directly affected, and surviving family members. PM if you want more info. Enjoy!

Kinky Boots or Hamilton but I heard there's a 2 year line up to see Hamilton. Empire State at night. The iconic Manhattan Bridge. Shops on 5th! Desigual is my favorite store. Street foods. Gelato on Central Park. Pizza on Little Italy. Experience Brooklyn, eat at ShakeShack

Each day you can go to a Broadway theatre about an hour and half prior to the show. They do a lottery for tickets. We went 3 times (about 20 min commitment and going early gives no advantage) and won 4 front row tickets. We paid $35/ tix. It's worth it if you are on a budget (and with the terrible dollar). We saw the Book of Morman.

Also, take the Statten Island ferry. Great view of the statue of liberty. I wouldn't recommend buying any tickets from "vendors" on the street. We got scammed. They over charged us compared to the rate inside and sold us the wrong tickets. #lessonlearned

We went about 5 years ago and bought the citypass and it was really worth it. The best thing about it was it let you skip a lot of lines. It saved us about an hour wait at the empire state building. And we bought a week pass on the subway which made it super easy to get around. Our favourite place was the museum of natural history. My husband hates museums and I could barely drag him out at the end of the day.

Did the museum of natural history take a full day? Like 8 hours?

I can't remember exactly how long we spent there, but we didn't get to see all the exhibits and I remember we got there before noon and left when they closed for the day.

We went to Booker and Dax. Very cool bar. 15/ drink but worth it for a couple. https://bookeranddax.momofuku.com/ we followed that with a visit to one of the oldest pubs Mcsorleys (3 beer for 5 bucks-and that's all they sell, light or dark beer). Again very cool atmosphere.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/McSorley%27s_Old_Ale_House
