Does this help?

Try packages that fly out of Seattle. We went to DR in October we got a pkg out of Seattle had a 1 hour layover in Miami. There weren't any direct flights from Vancouver if we had flown out of Vancouver there would have been a 12 hour layover in Toronto and even with exchange it was $600 cheaper per person

This sounds like a good alternative. Thanks!

Valerie

Malcolm
it will b a stopover in each direction. that will change
Michael
They will come up. You might want to buy a refundable ticket for now as backup and then when better flights become available you can get them (if they do and they likely will)

Non-Stop Flights from Vancouver to Punta Cana for a Wedding
We've been invited to a destination wedding at Grand Bahia Principe in Punta Cana, DR for May 3 in 2017. So far packages stop at the end of April unless we want to fly out of Calgary or Toronto. Does anyone know if there are non stop flights that will eventually come up out of Vancouver or will we have to settle for a 1 stop flight? Any idea on prices?
Non-Stop Flights
There are currently no non-stop flights from Vancouver to Punta Cana. However, there are a number of airlines that offer one-stop flights, including Air Canada, WestJet, and United Airlines.
Prices
The price of a one-stop flight from Vancouver to Punta Cana will vary depending on the airline, the time of year, and the availability of seats. However, you can expect to pay between $600 and $1,200 for a round-trip ticket.
Tips for Finding the Best Deal
- Book your flight in advance. The closer you get to the departure date, the more expensive the tickets will be.
- Be flexible with your travel dates. If you can fly on a weekday or during the off-season, you're likely to find cheaper tickets.
- Compare prices from different airlines. Use a travel search engine to compare prices from multiple airlines and find the best deal.
- Sign up for email alerts from airlines. This way, you'll be notified when there are sales or discounts on flights.
Conclusion
While there are currently no non-stop flights from Vancouver to Punta Cana, there are a number of one-stop flights available. By following the tips above, you can find the best deal on your flight and save money on your destination wedding.
