Recommendations - on honeymoon trips ?!

Hawaii might seem like an everyone is doing it honeymoon place, but it’s absolutely amazing place to go. With everything that’s going on in the world, westjet and the state of Hawaii have great travel deals where with proper testing and flights in/out of Calgary you can avoid /reduce quarantine time drastically. There’s good info on westjet site as well as the government of Hawaii website. Congratulations

We did Hungary, Croatia, and Slovenia in early September. Croatia provides the heat and beaches, the others provide history, culture, and food. Of course, Croatia also has a ton of history and culture, although I have to say their food didn't blow me away. It was a great mix for us. And they're on the same Eurail pass.
Slovenia was our fave because we had no expectations, knew nothing about it. It's lovely, similar to Switzerland.
Note: the beaches are rocky

Nadine we did Poland, Hungary and Croatia in August and had a great time. I would definitely recommend Croatia as a honeymoon spot. You can get the culture, beaches and wine
I was happy with the food but it probably depends on where you go and your tastes.

Allison I wish I could explain what I didn't like about the food, but it's been 8 years so I'm fuzzy on the details. I just remember being underwhelmed. But it's not awful or anything, just meh. The architecture, weather, history, scenery, etc., more than make up for it.

The backyard is nice that time of year....just following the recommendations for the middle-class

We did Sandals resort in Jamaica. Was amazing! If your not into all inclusive then I would recommend Hawaii... Maui or the big island. Both are beautiful.

I went to Sunscape Splash Resort in Montego Bay several years ago with my husband. It was beautiful the resort is placed right on a coral reef preserve so snorkeling right off one of their beaches is awesome! They have many restaurants to choose from that is included with your package and the stagg were all so super friendly.

Jamaica .....wife and I go there every August till Covid hit . Absolutely beautiful as well as the people .

How adventurous are you? Lots of options... but I’d recommend Zanzibar, southern Spain.

We went to Africa- tanzania and zanzibar! Tanzania did a safari and zanzibar was great for relaxing on the beach

Don't go to Paris in August everything is closed and Parisians are all at the beach. Dublin is easy to go to with westjet from YYC

I can't recommend Malta enough. Gorgeous, lots of history, great food.

We did Greece in September but the beaches would have been better in August

Heather we did as well - early September and Turkey after and found the weather was perfect and still hot. Later in September Mykonos was beginning to shut down a bit ( fewer restaurants and shops open). We loved that it was quieter. We also did a gullet cruise down the Turkish coast that was incredible as well as capadoccia. Amazing.

I have a FB friend in Mauritius and the beach pictures look amazing.
