go flight first going there, it seem in Airtransat usually the cheapest way to fly, then use Euro train...but if you tight in time, flying between country in Europe is cheap too.
Marilyn
Not sure the best way to get around but what a great trip! The market in Barcelona is fantastic and there is a great market in Rome

Wow these are great! Thank you! I am sooo psyched to go! I'll look into euro rail and flight prices... Going to go for 3 weeks but don't have an itinerary as to how long I'm staying in each place!
Chris
The rule of thumb used to be, if the train ride was 3 hours or less, take the train. If it's more than 3 hours, fly. Some use a guideline of 5 hours though in more recent years (more airport delays, etc).
Johanna
fly with raynair. com or easyjet. com if you are booking well in advance it is by far the cheapest way to go. they usually fly out of smaller airports. also, taking a bus from london-paris is pretty cheap, but will take longer than train or flying.
Angela
train when you can its a way to relax and see the countryside in Italy.I hope you have a lot to time to give to these places. there is soooo much to see and do
Eric
I like to recommend the train simply for environmental reasons. But also because - I think - it makes you appreciate the true distance and cultural differences between the vastly different places you'll be visiting! Flying is often a cheaper way to go fare-wise but ALWAYS a huge hassle. And more expensive in the end when you take into account stuff like - getting to the airport, eating throughout the flying process, crazy taxes, getting into town... Ugh. Lol

Traveling to Europe for the First Time
Going to Europe for the first time is an exciting adventure! Visiting London, Paris, Rome, and Barcelona will surely be an unforgettable experience.
Flying vs. Euro Train
When it comes to traveling between these major European cities, both flying and taking the Euro train have their pros and cons. Flying may be faster and more convenient, but taking the train allows you to enjoy the scenic views and experience the local culture along the way. If you have the time and want a more immersive journey, consider taking the Euro train. However, if you're short on time and prefer a quicker mode of transportation, flying may be the better option.
Booking Flights
For your trip from Edmonton to London, it's recommended to start booking your flights at least 2-3 months in advance. This will give you a better chance of finding good deals and securing your preferred dates and times. Keep an eye out for promotions and discounts from airlines to save money on your flights.
Conclusion
Ultimately, the choice between flying and taking the Euro train depends on your preferences and travel style. Whichever mode of transportation you choose, make sure to plan ahead and book your flights early to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip.
Have a fantastic time exploring Europe!

Hi! Need some help! Going to Europe for the first time! Going London, paris, Rome and last stop Barcelona... Would you recommend flying to each place or to take euro train? When is the best time to start booking flights for Edmonton to London to kick off our trip? Thanks!
