I have most of my trip planned but I would like some first hand advice!
Also, if anyone knows a good site to buy Broadway tickets that would be great! (thanks in advance)

We bought a one week subway pass...$31/person. It was awesome! (Hop on/hop off buses cane crowded and you may have to wait for the next bus) Buy broadway show tickets THERE at Tix on the Square. Up to 50% off or more. You can also check Travel Zoo. I bought some for one show there. Do the 911 Memorial Centre instead of the museum. Sunday brunch cruise, helicopter tour, walk or rent bikes in Central Park, tour of Radio City Music Hall, Ellen's Stardust Diner. We did all of that with discount tickets bought off Travel Zoo, or the NYC Pass bought at Costco.ca. Have fun!

Prioritize your Broadway show list and then go directly to theatre box office ...do it early in your trip

If you want a wildly popular our newer Broadway show, you will need to but in advance, but tkts is the best buy for sure.
Eg, Book of Mormon is not going to be at tkts, at least not last year.

I guess I meant that if you have your heart set on a particular show, book it. Avoid disappointment
If not, tkts is the best way to go.

If u need to pick a hotel get one close to Times Square...you will have a blast plus everything is walking distance including the subways..Novotel in Times Sq. was a good choice..esp since some shows end late night...
