There's a new iberostar opened up that looks pretty awesome. I'm pretty sure it's in varadaro.
I'm a big fan of that chain, been to 3 different ones (cuba and jamaica) and love everything about them

We love the Blau Varadero, and have returned there several times. It has the most amazing beach and all of the rooms are ocean view. The service was wonderful and so was the food! Its kind of pyramid shaped and shouldn't be confused with the newer Blau Marina Resort.

The iberostar Varadero is amazing!! Been there twice once was for a wedding!

We loved Iberostar Laguna Azul. Food okay — for Cuba (4 star Cuba is more like a 3 star in Mexico). Being older, we opted for the beach. Younger people (maybe your teenagers?) hung out at the pool. There was a disco on site. Make sure to go to Havana — but not sure how Havana has fared since Irma.

Barcelo Solymar! Beautiful beach, walk to town, lots of amenities!

All-Inclusive Varadero: Where to Stay and What to Avoid for a Family Vacation
Varadero, a tropical paradise on the northern coast of Cuba, is an excellent destination for families seeking a memorable New Year's getaway. With its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and abundant amenities, it's no wonder Varadero is a popular choice for all-inclusive vacations. However, with so many resorts to choose from, it can be challenging to determine the best option for your family. In this blog post, we'll guide you through the top recommendations for mid-range, all-inclusive resorts in Varadero, as well as those you might want to avoid.
Where to Stay:
1. Memories Varadero Beach Resort
This family-friendly resort offers a wide range of activities and amenities tailored for all ages. With multiple pools, including a kids' pool area, a mini-golf course, and a supervised kids' club, your little ones will have a blast. The resort is located right on the beach, providing easy access to the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Additionally, the all-inclusive package covers a variety of dining options, ensuring that everyone in your family will find something to their liking.
2. Iberostar Selection Varadero
Situated in a prime beachfront location, the Iberostar Selection Varadero boasts a range of amenities perfect for families. The resort features a kids' club with daily activities, a splash park, and a family pool area. Additionally, the all-inclusive package includes access to multiple dining options, including buffets and à la carte restaurants. The spacious rooms and family-friendly amenities make this resort an excellent choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
3. Royalton Hicacos Resort & Spa
This upscale resort offers a perfect blend of luxury and family-friendly amenities. With multiple pools, including a kids' pool area, a supervised kids' club, and a water park, your children will have a blast. The all-inclusive package covers a variety of dining options, ranging from buffets to specialty restaurants. The resort's prime beachfront location and modern accommodations make it an excellent choice for families seeking a memorable vacation.
Where Not to Stay:
1. Certain Small and Budget Hotels
While Varadero offers a wide range of accommodation options, some smaller and budget hotels may not be the best choice for families with teenagers. These hotels often lack the amenities and activities that cater specifically to teenagers, such as sports facilities, entertainment options, and supervised programs. Additionally, the quality of the accommodations and food may not meet your expectations, potentially leading to a less enjoyable vacation experience.
2. Adult-Only Resorts
Although Varadero is home to several luxurious adult-only resorts, these properties are not suitable for families with teenagers. These resorts cater primarily to couples and adults seeking a peaceful and romantic getaway, without the presence of children or teenagers. Choosing an adult-only resort may result in limited activities and amenities for your teenagers, potentially leading to boredom and disappointment.
By considering these recommendations and avoiding the pitfalls, you can ensure that your family has an unforgettable New Year's vacation in Varadero, Cuba. Remember to research thoroughly, read reviews, and book early to secure the best deals and availability.
