Looking to go to Europe on a budget with the bf. We're thinking Spain, Portugal, Greece, or Ireland. Any suggestions on where to go, what to see, best time to travel for cheap flights, where to stay. Any suggestions would be great!

We stayed in hostels as much as we could to cut down on costs. Really just needed some place to sleep, so that was a simple place for us to cut costs. That said, they are better & easier to find in some countries than others. I haven't been to any of those countries so I can't speak to their hostels. Check out the Hosteling International website, www.hihostels.ca.

Along the coast of spain. Athens ios santorini all great. Lisboa and porto and the algarves are great to see as well. Alot of good hostels in all the areas where you will have a room to yourself.
On the greek isles depending when you go they will fight for your business of the ferry. Some sweet deals to be had

I went to Greece last year, stayed in Athens, stayed in an apartment just a short walk from the placa, it was awesome, also within walking distance of the Parthenon, and changing of the guards, never needed transportation other than to go to the beach. We booked on airbnb. Our apartment was only 50 something a night. We also went to Dublin stayed at a hostel that offered a free bus tour if you booked two nights and 1 other tour. Both tours were awesome. This year I did a 9 hour layover in Iceland and did the blue lagoon. If you need any specific info, names etc. pm me. Also look at turkey we went there and loved it.

ITALY! we stayed just outside Rome in Ostia. They have a train system like our LRT that was easy. We would get off the train right at the Coliseum. http://www.romacampingcastelfusano.it/ they have camping, tented hostels, and bungalows.

That's a good idea we stayed in rome, using an airbnb place that was wonderful, with easy access to train, but found it a little on the high end.

Exploring Europe on a Budget

Planning a trip to Europe with your boyfriend on a budget can be an exciting adventure! Each country you mentioned - Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Ireland - offers its own unique charm and experiences. Here are some suggestions for each destination:

Spain

Visit Barcelona for its stunning architecture, beaches, and vibrant nightlife. Explore Madrid for its museums, parks, and delicious tapas. Consider traveling in the shoulder seasons of spring or fall for cheaper flights and accommodations.

Portugal

Discover the historic streets of Lisbon and the picturesque beaches of the Algarve region. Don't miss out on trying the local cuisine, including pastéis de nata. Look for budget-friendly accommodations in guesthouses or hostels.

Greece

Explore the ancient ruins of Athens, relax on the beautiful islands of Santorini or Mykonos, and indulge in Greek cuisine. Traveling in the offseason, such as late fall or early spring, can help you find cheaper flights and accommodations.

Ireland

Experience the stunning landscapes of the Cliffs of Moher, the vibrant city of Dublin, and the charming villages of the countryside. Consider staying in bed and breakfasts for a cozy and budget-friendly accommodation option.

When it comes to finding cheap flights, it's generally best to book in advance and be flexible with your travel dates. Using flight comparison websites and setting up price alerts can help you snag a good deal. As for accommodations, consider staying in budget hotels, hostels, or Airbnb rentals to save money.

Overall, no matter which destination you choose, exploring Europe on a budget with your boyfriend is sure to create unforgettable memories. Enjoy your trip!
